The Consulate of Italy in Perth is proud to celebrate the 9th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, taking place from November 18-24, 2024. This year’s theme is “Mediterranean Diet and Culinary Roots: Health and Tradition”, focusing on the Mediterranean Diet’s recognized ability to promote a balanced, sustainable lifestyle, while highlighting Italy’s deep culinary traditions. The event will also promote the Roots Tourism (Turismo delle Radici) program, which aims to raise awareness about how Italian food heritage has spread globally through communities abroad.
Throughout the week, some of Perth’s finest Italian restaurants and businesses will join forces to bring you a series of mouth-watering collaborations and special menu items, showcasing Italy’s rich culinary heritage and its impact on the world stage.

An Operatic Journey through Tuscany at Garum

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Puccini, the Italian Consulate, Garum and the West Australian Opera present an unforgettable evening. Celebrity chef Guy Grossi and Paolo Apuzzo have curated a four-course Tuscan feast inspired by the maestro’s birthplace. Each course will be paired with Tuscan wines and preceded by a Puccini performance from West Australian Opera’s Paul O’Neill and Naomi Johns.
