Collateral Events scheduled in Perth on the occasion of the match AC Milan – AS Roma

The Consulate of Italy  in Perth  is glad to present the program of collateral events scheduled on the occasion of the AC  Milan – AS Roma  soccer match

THURSDAY, 30^th May 2024

4.30 PM – 6.00 PM: AC MILAN – first football club of the metropolitan city of Milan – training, open to public.

6.30 PM – 8.00 PM: AS ROMA – capital’s historical team – training, open to public.

7.00 PM – 9.00 PM: an event organized by the Western Australia Italian Club for all the supporters will be held.

• LOCATION: HBF PARK

310 Pier St, Perth WA 6000: the nearest bus stops are located on Lord St and Beaufort St. Alternatively, it’s possible to catch the train until “Claisebrook station”: HBF Park is about 500 meters away.

PLEASE NOTE: the area doesn’t provide parking slots and, in the nearby, the majority of slots is reserved to residents. Moreover, some streets may be closed in case of such big events. Therefore, it’s not suggested to use the car.

FRIDAY, 31^st May 2024

1 PM: AC MILAN is going to organize a pre-match party.

• LOCATION: THE MERRYWELL

Crown Perth, Great Eastern Hwy, Burswood WA 6100: it’s possible to arrive using the public transport (Armandle line until Burswood). The place will be less than 1 km away from the station.

OR

1 PM: AS ROMA is going to organize a pre-match party.

• LOCATION: THE ROYAL ON THE WATERFRONT (East Perth)

60 Royal St, East Perth WA 6004: it’s suggested to use the Yellow Cat and get off at the Royal Street Victoria Gardens stop.

• FREE ENTRY: however, it’s encouraged to book on the following website: https://theroyaleastperth.com/events/as-roma-pre-match-tailgate-march-to-stadium/

Subsequently, at the end of the abovementioned events, the clubs will hold a parade until the stadium that will host them on the evening.

5.30 PM: at the Optus Stadium, the arena where the game will be held, the youth teams will perform a parade for all the supporters.

7 PM: MATCH between AC MILAN and AS ROMA.

• LOCATION: OPTUS STADIUM

333 Victoria Park Drive, Burswood, Perth, Western Australia: the stadium doesn’t provide parking slots for such big events. Therefore, it’s not suggested to take the car. For what concerns the public transports, the city organizes specific trains and bus stops to manage big flows of people in the days that host big events. Thus, it is recommended to use the website JourneyPlanner (https://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/Journey-Planner). For further information, please refer to the dedicated section of the official Stadium website (https://optusstadium.com.au/getting-here/public-transport)

PLEASE NOTE: from 2 PM until the end of the event (10.30 PM approximately), it will be possible to enjoy of the food truck, pop-up bars, Italian street food, activities for the kids, DJs and official merchandise of the teams.

• LOCATION: Southern Oval, Optus Stadium

SATURDAY, 1^ST June 2024

2 PM – 10 PM: the “Little Italy Festival” will be held.

• LOCATION: WA ITALIAN CLUB & DORRIEN GARDEN

217-225 Fitzgerald St, West Perth, Western Australia, 6005: it’s possible to reach this place through the public transports. It’s recommended to use the trains from “Perth Station” and catch the bus 960 – which will only need 5 minutes to reach the festival – or it’s possible to park on the bus route and get on at one of the bus stops.

Anyway, even though the slots will be limited, parking slots will be available for this event.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY, 2^ND and 3^RD June 2024

Sunday from 10 AM – 9PM and Monday from 10 AM – 10 PM: Western Australia Day festival.

• LOCATION: BURSWOOD PARK.

Resort Dr, Burswood WA 6100: it’s important here to underline that public transports will be free on both days, as these are on the first Sunday of the month (SmartRider onwers only) and a national holday.
