On September 27, 2024, the young and talented Italian violinist Lucilla Rose Mariotti captivated an audience of over 600 people at the majestic Winthrop Hall in Perth during the “Vivaldi Gala Night – Journey to Italy,” a musical journey through 300 years of Italian classical music.

Mariotti performed as a soloist, enchanting the audience with her masterful interpretation of Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, played on a 1709 Stradivari. The evening, conceived and organized by the Italian Consulate in Perth, mesmerized the Australian audience with the elegance and technical perfection of the young artist’s performance. She also premiered Alfredo D’Ambrosio’s Romance in D Major, Op. 9, in Australia.

During her stay in Perth, Lucilla Rose Mariotti conducted masterclasses with young musicians from Western Australia at the prestigious PLC College, receiving unanimous praise from students, parents, and teachers for her exceptional talent and mature teaching approach.

The Italian Consul in Perth, Sergio Federico Nicolaci, stated: “We are proud of the extraordinary reception given by the Australian public to Lucilla Mariotti, an Italian violinist already recognized internationally for her interpretative skills and exceptional talent. At just 23 years old, she is also a global ambassador for Stradivari, one of the highest expressions of the renowned Italian craft of violin making. We are proud to contribute to promoting an innovative image of Italian creativity, art, and culture at all levels.”
