“The Temptation of Going Alone” lecture at CGSB

Consul Balloni was the keynote speaker for the lecture “The Temptation of Going Alone”, part of the “View from the Top” Seminar Series event organised by the Curtin Graduate School of Business, who we would like to formally thank for the invitation.

The lecture was great platform to discuss the free movement of goods, people and capital in light of the current geo-political dynamics that in many respects seem to have affected the pillars of post-war economic growth by favouring new forms of protectionism.

Through the course of the presentation we were able to highlight Italy’s role in the current migrant crisis in the Mediterranean, as well as the positive prospects of economic growth this year, with a focus on the city of Milan and on the key role it could acquire in a post-Brexit Europe.

The lecture was attended by qualified institutional representatives, academics and Curtin alumni.
