XXV Winter Olympics 2026: Milan and Cortina

The cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo are Italy’s candidate for the award of the XXV Winter Olympics scheduled for 2026, competing solely with Stockholm, after the withdrawal of Graz, Sapporo, Sion and Calgary.

The Italian proposal features the excellence of the competition venues, accommodation facilities and, more generally, tourism and leisure opportunities in the areas involved.

The final decision will be taken by the members of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) at its annual session of 24 June 2019 in Lausanne.
