{"id":3130,"date":"2024-12-10T11:39:30","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T03:39:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consperth.esteri.it\/?p=3130"},"modified":"2024-12-10T11:39:30","modified_gmt":"2024-12-10T03:39:30","slug":"requesting-a-visa-for-the-jubilee-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consperth.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dal_consolato\/2024\/12\/requesting-a-visa-for-the-jubilee-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Requesting a Visa for the Jubilee 2025\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title h3\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">A special \u201cTourism-Jubilee\u201d visa is available for those participating in pilgrimages to Rome organized by their local churches.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>In preparation for the Jubilee 2025, the Visa Office of the Italian\u00a0<i>Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperatio<\/i>n (MAECI) and the\u00a0<i>Dicastery for Evangelization<\/i>\u00a0(DPE) have signed a\u00a0<i>Modus Procedendi<\/i>\u00a0that can facilitate the issuance of an entry visa for Italy for the faithful who intend to come on pilgrimage to Rome and other holy sites in Italian territory.<\/p>\n<p>In the righthand column of this page some helpful documents are available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the application form to be submitted to Italian Embassies\/Consulates for this type of visa;<\/li>\n<li>a set of practical instructions for filling out the request;<\/li>\n<li>the list of countries for which a visa is necessary;<\/li>\n<li>the text of the accord established between MAECI and DPE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>It is important to know that:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The process for requesting the special \u201cJubilee-Tourism\u201d visa is\u00a0reserved\u00a0<b>exclusively\u00a0for pilgrims participating<\/b>\u00a0in a diocesan pilgrimage (or with a group from within the diocese) that is organized by a\u00a0<b>local Coordinator\u00a0<\/b>appropriately designated by the Local Ordinary.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>The local Coordinator will compile the list of participating pilgrims (using the form that can be downloaded from this page), for whom he or she becomes the\u00a0<b>guarantor<\/b>\u00a0to the Italian Government; the Coordinator presents this list to the Embassy or competent Consulate when requesting the visa.\u00a0Please note that when submitting visa applications, each applicant must present the documentation required for the relevant type of visa.For further information, please consult the Visa for Italy portal, of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at the following address:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vistoperitalia.esteri.it\/home\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/vistoperitalia.esteri.it\/home\/en<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 visa type: Tourism.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>At the same time, the same\u00a0<b>local Coordinator<\/b>\u00a0should<b>\u00a0send a copy of the same list as soon as possible\u00a0<\/b>to the<b>\u00a0<\/b>PCPNE.\u00a0 The copy of the list should be sent both through the\u00a0<b>Apostolic Nuncio and directly to the PCPNE by email\u00a0<\/b>(attaching a scanned copy in PDF or other image format of the same list that was submitted to the Consulate).\u00a0 The email address to which to send the copy of the lists is <b><u>visa@iubilaeum2025.va<\/u><\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>To benefit from this process, it is necessary to begin it well in advance.\u00a0 We recommend that you present the list at least\u00a0<b>40 days before the anticipated departure\u00a0<\/b>of the pilgrimage.\u00a0<u>The visa application at the\u00a0 Consulate will remain blocked until the DPE has received the copy of the participant list.<br \/>\n<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>\u00a0It always remains a possiblity for any citizen needing an entry visa to submit his or her own request without using this special process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"spc-title left\">\n<p class=\"normal\"><strong>Check whether you need a visa<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Any pilgrim interested in coming to Rome for the Jubilee can check whether he\/she needs an entry visa for Italy through the online service offered by the\u00a0<i>Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/i>\u00a0at the following address:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vistoperitalia.esteri.it\/home\/en\"><strong>https:\/\/vistoperitalia.esteri.it\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A special \u201cTourism-Jubilee\u201d visa is available for those participating in pilgrimages to Rome organized by their local churches.
