Start of tunneling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday the 30th of July the Italian company Salini Impregilo launched one of the machines that will drill tunnels for the Perth\u2019s newest rail line, connecting the eastern suburbs of Perth with the existing rail line and the airport (Forrestfield Airport Link). The rail line will be 8.5 kilometres long and will be made up of 8 kilometres of underground tunnels.<\/p>\n<p>Premier Mark McGowan launched the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) with Grace, a local schoolgirl undergoing treatment for leukaemia. Grace\u2019s peers nominated the TBM be named after her because she is the \u201ctoughest person they know\u201d.
