{"id":187,"date":"2023-03-06T20:27:53","date_gmt":"2023-03-06T19:27:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consperth.esteri.it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/servizi-elettorali\/"},"modified":"2023-04-14T13:44:00","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T11:44:00","slug":"servizi-elettorali","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/consperth.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/servizi-elettorali\/","title":{"rendered":"Electoral services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Italian citizens residing in Western Australia and regularly registered with AIRE can exercise the right to vote in their place of residence abroad for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">national political elections<\/span> and for abrogative and constitutional <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">referendums<\/span> pursuant to articles<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">75 and 138 of the Constitution, <strong>provided they are registered in the electoral lists of their own Municipality<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Voting abroad for national political elections and referendums is regulated by Law no.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">459 and the related Implementing Regulation (Presidential Decree April 2, 2003, n. 104), in implementation of the art.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">48, 56 and 57 of the Constitution, which established the Foreign District.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Italian voters, as described above, can also vote for the election of representatives of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Com.It.Es.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">(Committees of Italians Abroad), as required by law 23 October 2003, n.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">283.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In all the cases described above, voting is always and only <strong>by mail<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In order to avoid any issue or delays in receiving electoral packages, it is recommended that you keep your personal data updated, promptly communicating any changes of address (or transfer to another country) via the <a href=\"https:\/\/serviziconsolari.esteri.it\/ScoFE\/services\/service-info.sco?serviceId=91&amp;sCode=RCR\">FastIt portal<\/a>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">For further information on voting abroad, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/italiani-all-estero\/votoestero\/\">here<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Italian citizens residing in Western Australia and regularly registered with AIRE can exercise the right to vote in their place of residence abroad for national political elections and for abrogative and constitutional referendums pursuant to articles 75 and 138 of the Constitution, provided they are registered in the electoral lists of their own Municipality.
